Project Summary

The No-Code AI Lab project is an educational initiative supported by the U.S. Department of State through the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2026). The project aims to equip university students with practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI), no-code technologies, and digital freelancing, with a particular emphasis on engineering, agriculture, and geospatial applications.

Implemented with the participation of TIIAME National Research University and Karakalpak State University, the initiative promotes the use of U.S.-developed AI technologies to enable students to design digital solutions without extensive programming knowledge.

Through practical bootcamps in Tashkent and Nukus, participants will learn to use modern AI-powered platforms for idea generation, content creation, data analysis and visualization, engineering applications, and the development of digital services.

The project also focuses on developing students' entrepreneurial skills by introducing freelancing opportunities, digital portfolio development, and professional communication with potential clients.

Objectives

  1. Develop No-Code and Digital Skills: Strengthen students' practical competencies in no-code platforms and AI-assisted digital service development through hands-on training and project-based learning.

  2. Enhance AI Tool Proficiency: Introduce students to U.S.-developed AI technologies, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude, emphasizing responsible and effective use in engineering and agricultural applications.

  3. Promote Digital Entrepreneurship and Freelancing: Equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to create professional portfolios, present digital services, communicate with clients, and explore remote employment and freelancing opportunities.

Key Project Activities

The project includes the following activities:

  • Organizing practical AI and no-code bootcamps for university students in Tashkent and Nukus.

  • Providing hands-on training in AI-assisted content creation, data visualization, workflow automation, and digital product development.

  • Introducing specialized AI tools relevant to engineering and geospatial applications, including Esri ArcGIS GeoAI, MATLAB AI tools, Autodesk Fusion AI, and GitHub Copilot.

  • Supporting students in developing prototype websites, interactive dashboards, automation tools, and other digital solutions.

  • Training participants to create freelance profiles and professional portfolios, prepare service proposals, and communicate effectively with potential clients.

Role of TIIAME National Research University

TIIAME-NRU is one of the two participating universities and a key academic setting for the project's educational activities.

The university's involvement focuses on:

  • Engaging engineering and agricultural students in practical AI and no-code training.

  • Promoting the application of AI technologies to real-world challenges in agriculture, water resources, engineering, and geospatial analysis.

  • Supporting students in the development of practical digital prototypes and professional portfolios.

  • Encouraging innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and the use of AI-powered solutions among future engineers.

Expected Outcomes

The project is expected to contribute to:

  1. Improved Digital Competencies: Students gain practical experience in AI-assisted no-code development and acquire skills applicable to engineering and agricultural tasks.

  2. Development of Digital Products: Participants create functional prototypes, including websites, dashboards, and automation solutions, demonstrating their newly acquired technical skills.

  3. Enhanced Employment Readiness: Students develop professional portfolios and improve their ability to present digital services to potential employers and freelance clients.

  4. Expanded Access to Modern Technologies: Students in Tashkent and Nukus gain exposure to U.S.-developed AI platforms and practical digital innovation methods.

Relevance to Uzbekistan

The No-Code AI Lab project contributes to Uzbekistan's digital transformation and human capital development by:

  • Promoting artificial intelligence literacy and practical digital competencies among university students.

  • Supporting the integration of emerging technologies into engineering and agricultural education.

  • Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship through accessible no-code tools.

  • Preparing young specialists for participation in the international digital economy.

  • Strengthening educational engagement between Uzbekistan and the United States through the application of American AI technologies.
